The Centre Médical Dr Gnipieven Tekombo successfully carried out its second humanitarian medical campaign in collaboration with the Swiss NGO CHEIRA during the month of April 2026.

As part of this important initiative, 40 patients received free surgical operations at the Centre. In addition, more than 1200 other patients benefited from medical consultations during the campaign. For many of these patients, living in vulnerable conditions and unable to afford specialized medical care, this initiative represented a unique opportunity to finally receive treatment and be relieved from years of pain and suffering.

This second collaboration with CHEIRA once again demonstrated the strong commitment of both partners to improving access to healthcare for disadvantaged populations in Cameroon. Without such humanitarian support, many of these patients would likely never have had access to the surgeries and medical attention they urgently needed.

The Centre Médical Dr Gnipieven Tekombo remains fully committed to its mission of improving medical care in Cameroon, particularly for the most vulnerable and underserved communities.
Following the success and impact of this campaign, the next humanitarian medical mission in partnership with CHEIRA is already scheduled for November 2026.
